IRF India Chapter in association with Australian Road Research Board (ARRB) had organized two Certification Courses for Road safety Auditors in February 2010. These courses have been highly appreciated both in India and abroad. The course had been funded jointly by IRF India, gTKP and MoRT&H. It is proposed to organize the next set of two Certification Courses for “Road Safety Auditors” in July 2010. It is proposed to train 35-40 auditors in each batch of 5-Days long duration. There will be two such training courses in two consecutive weeks during 12th-16th and 19th-23rd July 2010.
The training shall be imparted by both ARRB and IRF (India) experts. At the end of the Training Course, there will be an evaluation of the auditing skills developed by the trainees. A Certificate shall be issued to each trained auditor by ARRB and IRF (India) jointly, which is an international level certification. These auditors will be carrying out the RSA in the country in coming times.
The trainees shall be selected based on educational background, past training and the experience.Those who have a degree in Civil Engineering and/or post-graduate degree or diploma in Traffic Engineering/Highway Engineering/Transportation Engineering etc shall be eligible for the training. The attached format of CV shall be filled by the candidates and submitted as application for attending the course. The CV showing the qualification and experience will be used for selection of the candidates for the Certification Courses based on eligibility. Please note that the seats will be booked on first-come-first-served basis and on satisfaction of the selection criteria.
All the Educational Institutions, Consultancy Organizations, Concessionaires of road projects, Government Departments and Road/Highway Authorities in Centre and States, having staff with the requisite qualifications and experience, may like to nominate for these certification courses to avail this opportunity for Training of Road Safety Auditors. All interested Government Departments and Private Organizations are, therefore, requested to nominate their staff for the Certification Courses well in advance. The nominations should be accompanied by the Application Format duly filled and the fee for the course. The nomination will mean that the Departments and the Organizations have the commitment that these certified auditors will be made available to conduct road safety audits in the country as will be required by the Central and State Governments.
The Certification Course Fee for One-Week (5-Days) Training is Rs. 35,000(Rupees thirty five thousand only) per participant of the course. The Cheque / DD for the course fee may be made in favour of “International Road Federation” and payable at par at New Delhi. The fee shall cover the cost of guest house accommodation in CRRI (for the outstation candidates only),lunch, tea, course materials, and transport for field visits for actual sample audit works. The total number of nominated trainees shall be divided between the two courses, which shall be accepted by the sponsoring organizations. The final allocations of the selected trainees to the respective two courses shall be intimated at least one week in advance by e-mail or telephone.
