Current challenges facing the road sector include rapid urbanisation, ageing populations,climate change and restricted funding sources for roads, to mention just a few. By virtue of its membership and structure, the IRF Geneva Programme Centre serves as an authoritative knowledge beacon for the road sector, enabling it to anticipate and confront the challenges of our times and meet them with innovative solutions. Through its working groups - dedicated to topical themes like the Environment, Road Finance and Public-private partnerships, Safer Roads and Intelligent Transport Systems - IRF is uniquely placed to bring together leading experts with a close eye on the most recent developments, innovations and policies of relevance to our sector.
