IRF India Chapter is partnering with Lifeline Foundation, headed by Padma Shri Dr. Subroto Das to organize the 2nd Motor Vehicle Accident Conference 2020 (MoVACon 2020) during February 2020. This is the second edition of the Conference, the first edition having been organized in 2008 in partnership with NHAI and MoRT&H.This conference is endorsed by Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister.
The Conference will be held in Ahmedabad on 20 – 21 February 2020, focusing on the 4Es of Road Safety and will aim to address its multiple dimensions, including the existing challenges and suggesting mitigation measures and response to Road Accidents. The Conference, further seeks to leverage on the recently approved Motor Vehicles Bill, Good Samaritan Guidelines, Legislation of National Ambulance Code, and to be in line with the MoRT&H’s Vision 2020. Vision 2020 envisions transport on roads that is efficient, safe and sustainable thereby reducing road fatalities by half.
The Conference is of interest to and invites participation of all Road stakeholders, representatives of Government and Government Agencies, Highway Authorities, Law Enforcement Authorities, Transport Department Officials, Transport Agencies, Research Organizations, Educational Institutions, Professional Associations, Infrastructure Development Companies, Corporates, Automobile Companies, Emergency Physician, Manufacturers and Suppliers of Road Safety Equipment, NGOs, Media etc.
