IRF Board and the General Assembly bestowed upon Mr. Kapila the title of IRF President Emeritus

The mandate of Mr. Kiran K. Kapila as IRF Chairman ended on May 29th 2019 after holding office for a third and final term.

Meeting in Costa Navarino (Greece) in the margins of the ASECAP Days, the General Assembly of the International Road Federation (IRF) has unanimously elected Mr. Bill M. Halkias as the new President of IRF with the earlier designation of Chairman being replaced by the designation of President.

In recognition of the services rendered to the IRF by the outgoing Chairman, the Board and the General Assembly bestowed upon Mr. Kapila the title of IRF President Emeritus. Thanking his colleagues on the Board for the support provided over the years and the members of the General Assembly for their trust, Mr. Kapila said "Road Safety will continue to be at the top of my agenda and I will continue to strive to ensure we reach the goal set in Vision Zero".
